THE PODCAST

The Changing Earth Podcast

Survival fiction and facts, one chapter at a time. Stories bring meaning to facts, and that is what this podcast is all about. Each episode pairs a chapter of The Changing Earth novels with a conversation about the real skills inside it, so you can learn how to care for the land, prepare your home, and protect the people you love while you enjoy the story.

How it Works

Since 2015, Sara has walked through the novel's chapters chapter by chapter, later joined by co-host Chin Gibson, and brought in professionals to talk about the survival topics in each one.

Hosted by author Sara F. Hathaway with co-host Chin Gibson

1

Hear the chapter.

The book archive episodes each feature a chapter of the novel, so the story keeps moving from one episode to the next.

2

Meet the expert.

After the chapter, Sara talks with a guest who knows that topic firsthand, from home canning and gardening to emergency radios.

3

Try it at home.

You come away with practical steps you can use on your land, in your kitchen and with your family.

NEW TO THE BOOKS?

The Story Comes First

The podcast follows the novels in order, so it is best to start where the story starts. Pick up Day After Disaster, so you can read along, then come back here for the real skills behind each chapter.
