Day After Disaster's Virtual Book Tour is underway! Topics range from details from the book,
author interviews, character interviews, survival techniques, foraging, book marketing and more.
I encourage you to share your opinions with me.
I have lined up some really great blogs for your enjoyment. You will be exposed to many different ideas and people along the way.
Backdoor Survival
The first site we will be visiting is Backdoor Survival. This blog's author, Gaye, does a wonderful job of keeping all her survivalist followers posted on current events and what you can do to be ready. She also does a great job at highlighting authors from the survival community. She started this blog out of concern for the changing economy and it's effects on regular people. She also wanted to bring the community along on her journey of learning all the prepping basics.
Prepared with James Hart
The second blog spot we will be visiting is Prepared with James Hart. This blog's author, James E. Hart, is an outstanding gentleman, deeply immersed in the survival community. He lectures, holds seminars, and has written two books, SWET Survival & Wilderness Experience and Training Urban & Wilderness Emergence Preparedness on survival techniques. His blog is just a taste of the many interesting survival topics featured in these books. He works extensively with his local community and does a yearly trip to Utah where he helps to train groups of novices in survival experiences.
Rockin' Roy's Ragin' Romance
The third blog we will be visiting is Rockin' Roy's Ragin' Romance. This blog's author, Lawrence, is a man who is not afraid to say things as they are. I find his blog a breath of fresh air in a world of political correctness and tip toeing around issues. He is the author of a best selling Kindle zombie novel, Bleeding Kansas.
The Survival Doctor
The fourth blog spot we will be visiting is The Survival Doctor. This blog's author, Dr. James Hubbard is a blessing to the survival community. His blog is filled with a wealth of information on survival medical issues and advice. He also has medical advice on issues that we all deal with everyday, sitting in our cushy homes. I have poured over pages of great material here and I am very honored to be collaborating with him on this tour.
Gudrun Frerich's Blog
The fifth blog is at Gudrun Frerich's Blog. This is an amazing blog about improving people’s quality of life by teaching them how to have stronger relationships, better support networks, a firm sense of self-confidence, and control over the emotional ups and downs of life. Gudrun is a therapist, author, and life-long explorer of the mysteries of the human mind. Born on an idyllic fisher island in Germany, she lives now in New Zealand. After 25 years of working in mental health and trauma recovery, she is retiring from clinical work and has published now her first book Delicious Love Forever. She is passionate about the Principles of Mind, Thought, and Consciousness as formulated by the late Sydney Banks, and writes about her understanding of it in her “Delicious Forever” series, applying the principles to everyday living situations.
Sophia Barlev's Blog
The sixth blog we will be visiting is Sophia Barlev's Blog. Sophia Bar-Lev, who also writes as LR Houseman, is the best-selling author of PASTA, POPPY FIELDS AND PEARLS, and will soon publish its sequel, PIZZA AND PROMISES. She is a former teacher and spent many years traveling internationally as an inspirational speaker and Bible teacher at conferences and conventions. Her popular mini-book, HOW TO STUDY TORAH WHEN YOU’RE NOT A TORAH SCHOLAR, has been used by many womens’ bible study groups to enliven their discussions and deepen their understanding of scripture.
Peggy McAloon's Blog
The seventh blog we will visit is Peggy McAloon's Blog. Peggy's blog has a superb mission. The blog is written for parents everywhere, as a way to help parents deal with the tougher issues of parenting. Her goal is to communicate the importance of helping children who are in trouble and encouraging those who aren’t to help the others. The statistics on child abuse are still staggering with over three million cases reported in the United States each year, involving nearly six million children. Abuse often occurs within the family and the child is too afraid of the repercussions to tell anyone they are being hurt. No child is immune. For those who have discovered their own child has been abused, the realization that “it can happen to me” is heart breaking. Peggy is the author of the Elle Burton series. She combines her love of books and her faith in Guardian Angels into an outstanding series about a young girl who discovers that she has been chosen by winged creatures from another dimension to help them protect the young children of Earth.
The Organic Prepper
The eighth blog we will be visiting is The Organic Prepper. This is a great site. The blog author, Daisy Luther, is a freelance writer and editor who lives in a small village in the Pacific Northwestern area of the United States. She is the author of The Pantry Primer: How to Build a One Year Food Supply in Three Months. A place to share, promote, and support the Indie community. At Rock the Book their mission is to show the world that #IndieAuthorsRock and whilst, like the traditional publishing industry, there are both good and bad indie books out there if you know where to look you will find amazing, imaginative, well written books, by Indie authors who have gone it alone not because they have to, but because they want to.
Savvy Self Growth
The tenth blog we will be traveling to is Savvy Self Growth. This enlightening blog encourages the reader to discover unique, powerful, and smart ways to grow your “self” through blog articles, books, online programs and courses. Liesel’s first book “No Problem. The Upside of Saying No” is a handbook for those who struggle to take care of themselves, feel exhausted, resentful and never have a moment for their own priorities. The book guides the reader to understand what lies beyond the deep reluctance to say “I’m so sorry, this time I can’t help”. It’s filled with stories, anecdotes, solid research, helpful practical tips, and a very effective and powerful tool called EFT, to shift the reluctance and reduce stress.
